02_2017 Charity the Polish way

Poles have become more inclined to declare altruistic opinions. Does this carry any conclusions for businesses?

The period preceding Christmas as well as the beginning of the new year is abundant in various charity events, such as Świąteczna Zbiórka Żywności (The Christmas Food Gathering), Szlachetna Paczka (The Noble Box), or Wielka Orkiestra Świątecznej Pomocy (The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity).  If the right partner is selected, involvement in charity events may be the source of invaluable benefits for business, both with regard to their internal image (i.e. among the staff) and external image in the eyes of the local community, as well as  CSR in the broad sense. Nowadays not only just listed companies or big businesses, but even local car dealerships support existing charities or even set up their own foundations, with full understanding of the benefits such activities provide.

As was the case in the previous years, Kantar Public asked Poles which charities they were aware of, as well as what their attitudes to helping others were. Our findings might prove useful to your PR Departments in planning effective strategies for the nearest future. More detailed information can be found
