20 days of April 2024 - new registrations PC, LCV, CV and PTW

After 20 days of APRIL this year, we observe a continuation of y/y increases in the passenger car, light commercial and single-truck segments. On the other hand registrations of heavy trucks declined by 9.7% y/y
During the first 20 days of the current month, there were registered:

  • 27,186 passenger cars - 27.3% y/y more than in the same period last year.
  • Light commercial vehicle registrations increased by 24.2% y/y to 2,747 units.
  • Sales of new heavy trucks over 3.5t decreased by 9.7% to 1,516 units.
  • Unicycles continued their upward trend : Motorcycles: 3,328 units. +41.0% y/y ; Scooters: 997 units. +33.8% y/y,

Registration of buses - MARCH 2024

We present you the registrations figures for BUSES in MARCH 2024 Data are based on Central Register of Vehicles (CEP).

New buses JANUARY (+25,7% y/y); JANUARY-MARCH (+68,8% y/y)

In March 2024, 181 brand new buses were registered in Poland, 37 units more than a year ago (+25.7% y/y). This is also a higher total than in February, when bus sales reached 167 units. (+15 units / 8.9% m/m). This is a good prognosis for the future. On the other hand, the cumulative result for the first quarter of this year. 498 units is even better - by 203 units. / +68.8% y/y. What's important, this result was achieved in synergy by all functional segments (even the niche category of school vehicles), with a huge increase in minibus sales (+145 units / +119.8% y/y), increasingly better condition of long-distance buses (+23 units / +191.7% y/y) and a boom in the tourist segment (+55 units / +229.2% y/

New car registrations: -5.2% in March 2024; battery electric 13% market share

In March 2024, the European Union car market experienced its first decline of the year, registering a 5.2% decrease to 1 million units. The timing of the Easter holidays negatively impacted last month’s sales across most EU markets, including the four largest: Germany (-6.2%), Spain (-4.7%), Italy (-3.7%), and France (-1.5%).
For the first quarter of the year, car registrations increased by 4.4%, reaching nearly 2.8 million units. The bloc's major markets saw solid growth from January to March, with Italy and France each recording a 5.7% increase, followed by Germany (+4.2%) and Spain (+3.1%).
