Production of motor vehicles and engines for motor vehicles in Poland according to CSO data - JANUARY 2024
According to the latest data published by the Central Statistical Office (CSO), PRODUCTION OF MOTOR VEHICLES in Poland in JANUARY 2024 showed very high results in the passenger car segment (+41.8% y/y) and the truck segment (+58.7% y/y). The CSO has not yet published bus production data.
In January, the production of internal combustion engines also reached a very high level of 224, thousand units. This represents an increase of 10.9% year-on-year.
PASSENGER CARS
y/y change: January +29,5% r/r
Last month, 29.5 thousand passenger cars were produced, up by 8.7 thousand units. (+41.8% y/y) more than in December 2023. and by 10.6 thousand (+35.9% y/y) more than the month before.
TRUCKS AND AGRICULTURAL TRACTORS FOR SEMI-TRAILERS
y/y change: January +58.7% y/y
Production of trucks and vans reached an impressive 33,414 units last month, which translates into a year-on-year increase of 58.7%. The achieved result is also significantly higher than of December by 7,710 units, (+30% y/y).
VEHICLES FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORT

ENGINES FOR MOTOR VEHICLES
y/y change: January +10.9% y/y
In January, production of internal combustion engines completed a very high result of 224 thousand units. This is 22 thousand units more (+10.9% y/y) than in the same month in 2022. The result achieved is significantly higher than the previous month by 70 thousand (+45.5% m/m).
