INVITATION to MOVE International Mobility Congress 2023

Great news for Poland. The new TechHub investment in Krakow was officially announced yesterday by Volvo Cars CEO Jim Rowan. Jakub Faryś President of PZPM had the pleasure of attending the meeting. According to information provided during the press conference -TechHub will start soon. Expected employment by the end of the year is 120 people and eventually up to 500-600 mainly IT specialists and programmers. Poland will be the fourth R&D center in the world owned by Volvo.

The European Commission has proposed a new emission reduction target for new trucks by 90% by 2040. This is the position of Jakub Faryś - President of PZPM regarding the new EC arrangements

The decision of the European Commission reassures the automotive industry that Europe is consistently moving towards zero-emission mobility. This also applies to heavy transport - both long-distance and local. Today manufacturers offer to customers e.g. electric garbage trucks or local distribution vehicles, but also electric truck tractors. However, for the transition to zero-emission drives to be successful, it is necessary to build a network of charging points with very high power dedicated to trucks and hydrogen refueling stations. The availability of appropriate charging points will allow carriers to be convinced that the transformation and usage of zero-emission vehicles is not only comparable to today's, but also economically viable.
