We present data related to import of used cars to Poland based on Ministry of Finance and Centralna Ewidencja Pojazdow.

After 20 days of May this year, the number of registrations of all types of vehicles except motorcycles were in negative territory compared to the same month last year.
During the reported period, 20,724 passenger cars were registered (-1.1% y/y). Registrations of light commercial vehicles amounted to 2,360 units. (-11.8% y/y). Sales of new heavy trucks over 3.5t decreased by 16.6% to 1,560 units.
Unicycles recorded mixed results. Motorcycle registrations increased by 2.2% y/y, while scooters remained down -15.3% y/y.
During the first 20 days of May, there were registered:
20,724 passenger cars: -1.1% y/y
2,360 LCV light commercial vehicles: -11.8% y/y
1,560 trucks over 3.5t: -16.6% y/y
Unicycles:
2221 motorcycles: +2.2% y/y
819 mopeds: -15.3% y/y
The celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Warsaw University of Technology's Faculty of Automobiles and Automotive Machines took place on May 26. The celebration was attended by Jakub Faryś - President of the Polish Automotive Industry Association, who during his speech emphasized that the new motorization will be shaped, among others, by students of the Warsaw University of Technology.
He drew attention to the legislative amendments that have set the direction of automotive development. Beginning in 2035, every new car registered in the EU will be electric, hydrogen or powered by synthetic fuel. The development of electromobility also applies to heavy trucks. The automotive revolution that is taking place now is forcing the adaptation of education faculties to the new reality, and this is a challenge for the staff of the Warsaw University of Technology and other universities
