From January to September 2021, 347.3 thousand
new passenger cars were registered in Poland - 17.7% more than in the same period of 2020. By contrast, this is still 15.5% less than achieved during the three quarters of 2019.
On the other hand, low results in terms of the number of produced vehicles were noted by automotive factories in Poland. During the nine months of 2021, a total of 300.7 thousand
vehicles were produced in Poland - 7.6% less than in the previous year. The sharpest decrease of 18.3% was recorded in the production of buses.
The report is out of a series of quarterly reports aimed to present current trends in the Polish automotive industry, including automotive retail, manufacturing and financial services. Analysis are based on the most recent registrations, statistical and market data, and is a result of a joint endeavor by the Polish Automotive Industry Association and KPMG in Poland.
