In 2020, 428 300 new passenger cars were registered in Poland -  by 23% less compared to 2019. Registration declines concern, except for motorcycles, LCVs, trucks, trailers and semi-trailers, buses and mopeds. The passenger car segment with alternative propulsion continued growth. In 2020, the number of car registrations of this type in Poland amounted to 79 200 units and was 50.2% higher than in 2019. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, vehicle production decreased. In total 2020, 451 400 vehicles were produced by 30.5% less than in the previous year. The deepest decline by 35.8%, was recorded in the production of passenger cars.

Analysis are based on the most recent registrations, statistical and market data and is a result of a joint endeavour by the Polish Automotive Industry Association and KPMG in Poland.
