CARBON FREE VEHICLES

We present a SUMMARY compiled by the Polish Association of the Automotive Industry and the Ministry of Infrastructure. It will soon be available on the PZPM website. It contains information on low-emission vehicles that meet the requirements set out in Article 68b of the Act on Electromobility and Alternative Fuels, concerning the provision by contracting authorities of minimum target levels for the share of low- and zero-emission passenger and commercial vehicles (categories M and N) in the total number of vehicles covered by granted above-threshold public contracts for the supply of vehicles and selected services of a transport nature, in two periods: from 2 August 2021 to 31 December 2025.
Vehicles with a maximum exhaust pipe emission of up to 50g CO2/km and emissions of air pollutants (particulate matter - PM and nitrogen oxides - NOx) under actual driving conditions of less than 80% of the limit value are considered to be low-emission vehicles of category M1, M2 or N1.

Electric cars more popular despite downward trend in automotive market

According to data from the end of July 2022 , a total of 52 881 passenger and commercial electric cars were registered in Poland. For the first seven months of 2022, their number increased by 14 098 units, i.e. 44% more than in the same period of 2021 - according to the E-mobility Index, launched by PZPM and PSPA.
