The decision of the
European Commission
reassures the automotive industry that Europe is consistently moving towards zero-emission mobility. This also applies to heavy transport - both long-distance and local. Today manufacturers offer to customers e.g. electric garbage trucks or local distribution vehicles, but also electric truck tractors. However, for the transition to zero-emission drives to be successful, it is necessary to build a network of charging points with very high power dedicated to trucks and hydrogen refueling stations. The availability of appropriate charging points will allow carriers to be convinced that the transformation and usage of zero-emission vehicles is not only comparable to today's, but also economically viable.
