Used passenger car imports – January 2026
According to CEP data, 57.7 thousand used passenger cars were imported to Poland in January 2026, representing a y ear-on-year decline of 16.7% compared to January 2025 (69.3 thousand units).
This marks a weak start to 2026, extending the softer market conditions observed at the end of last year.
Age structure of imported cars (January 2026):
- Over 10 years old – 58.0% (33.5 thousand)
- 5–10 years old – 32.7% (18.9 thousand)
- Up to 4 years old – 9.4% (5.4 thousand)
The data confirm that imports continue to be dominated by older vehicles, with a persistently low share of younger cars.
January results point to a slowdown in volumes, while the age profile of imported vehicles remains unchanged – a key challenge for fleet renewal and transport policy in Poland.
