The Polish Leasing Association, the Polish Automotive Industry Association, and the Polish Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association are organizing a conference that will bring together key stakeholders in the legislative process concerning the decarbonization of fleets in the EU—government representatives, MEPs, including Bartosz Arabik, Stanisław Bukowiec, Konrad Wojnarowski, Ewa Baryłka, Dariusz Joński , and industry experts. The Polish Automotive Industry Association will be represented by Jakub Faryś, President of PZPM .
The meeting will take place on the eve of the European Commission's presentation of the Greening Corporate Fleet (GCFI) initiative, new CO₂ emission standards for fleets, and a battery strategy—a package that could significantly change the operation of company fleets across the EU.

The electrification of the European car fleet is a big challenge for Polish parts manufacturer

The automotive market in Poland is entering a phase of accelerated change related to electromobility. The development of electric vehicles is influencing the architecture of cars and components, which is forcing the adaptation of entire supply chains and the design of parts and systems tailored to the new operating conditions and ergonomics of electric vehicles. For many Polish manufacturers of car parts and components, this means modifying their product portfolio and rebuilding their existing business model, according to a report by KPMG in Poland and the Polish Automotive Industry Association. The publication also analyses car sales in Poland – in the first three quarters of 2025, 428,000 new passenger cars were registered, and the number of vehicles with alternative drives increased to 251,000, which is 19% more than a year earlier.

This is one of the most intensively processed legislative acts in recent months, particularly important for the automotive and transport sectors in Poland , both of which have a significant and strategic impact on the national economy.
The amendment introduces legal provisions that will enable research centers and testing companies to conduct trials of automated vehicle technologies (ADAS) in Poland — rather than in other European countries. This is a key step in maintaining the competitiveness of the European automotive industry . ADAS technology not only enhances driving comfort but also significantly improves road safety .
This legislation is also crucial for thousands of transport companies in Poland , which account for nearly 30% of freight transport in Europe , as it introduces the possibility for Polish control authorities to check EKMT permits for carriers from third countries.

New motorcycle registrations in five of the largest European markets (i.e. France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK) reached 823.786 units during the first nine months of 2025. This represents a variation of approximately -7,2% compared to the same period in 2024 (887.451 units).
Motorcycle registration volumes increase in Spain (183.014 units, +11,1% year-on-year) while in other markets, results remain negative for the current year with for Italy (282.407 units, -1.1%), for UK (73.343 units, -4%), for France (144.888 units, -12.4%) and for Germany (140.134 units, - 24.4%). 
Moped registrations reached a total volume of 110.641 units in the six European moped markets monitored by ACEM (i.e. Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and Spain). This registration volume represents a reduction of 16.4% in comparison to last year at the same period (132.303 units). Germany remains the only market showing a slight growth (12.772 units, 1,3%), while the decline is widespread in all other monitored countries: Spain (9.494 units, -3.4%), Belgium (20.123 units, -10,1%), the Netherlands (19.386 units, -19,1%), France (37.874 units -21,8%), and Italy (10.992 units, -27,3%).

Since the beginning of 2025 , 48,789 new motorcycles have been registered in Poland, which is 9.8% more than last year (+4,350 units). This result includes 36,208 new motorcycles, which is 10.3% more than in the best year to date, 2024 (+3,391 units), and 12,581 mopeds, which is 12.3% more than in 2024.
